Recently, I have been listening to Awolnation a lot because I just feel their vibes and their vibes suits how I feel. It’s a harmonious relationship that will never end.

I got acquainted with the group through my wonderful evil husband, who had Sail as one of his songs on rotation in his car. Because this song was on heavy rotation on his playlist, I decided to check out the group for myself and listen to the rest of the album, because that’s when I realised that they actually had an album and not just this one song.

Needless to say, I was entranced by them and could not wait for their second album to be released. When they released the second album, I wasn’t digging it at first, but it grew on me and I ended up liking it way more than their first one. These two albums were mandatory on my playlists and since the year started, I think I have probably listened to this group more than any other artist.

I then decided to do a quick search on them, see what was the latest and lo! and behold, the most fantastic news graced my eyes. They had released a third album.

Of course I got myself a copy and was elated that their music did not change. They still sounded the same yet the music was different. Bruno really is a genius. He got better with each album; aging like fine wine.

They have so many songs that I like that it’s so hard to choose. I must say that Run struck a deep chord because of it’s simplicity and altruism. That song is reality.

As March is usually the month for reflection and introspection, there is nothing like a good Awolnation to help you maintain that balance between meditation and jubilation.
