A Japanese group with the sub-groups FictionJunction Yuuka, FictionJunction Keiko and FictionJunction Wakana, I first stumbled upon them by watching anime, (of course) especially since their songs have been featured as opening songs on anime such as Pandora Hearts and Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto.

There is a sort of surrealism to their music, at least for me. Whenever I listen to their songs I am instantly captivated and entranced by the vocals and the musical accompaniment. Each chord resonates deep within my soul and soothes me in times when I need to listen to something to return to my senses or rather to nourish the spirit within.

As is the custom with most Japanese groups, they do not have many full albums, but release a number of singles and do lots of live performances as they also do not usually have music videos for their songs.

I look forward to hearing more music from them either as the full group FictionJunction or the sub-group FictionJunction Yuuka because either way, my ears are benefiting.

On another note, this month is quite hectic as I have exams next month so the majority of my time is being spent revising and trying to get as much sleep as I possibly can. Not to mention my tutoring duties that I have to fulfill twice a week. However, it is all good. When it’s all over, I should be back to updating the site as normal and watching all my TV shows and most importantly, watching my anime.

So, although this is late, FictionJunction Yuuka are my pick for the month of November. Until next time, じゃまたね!
